Production

All STEICO products are produced at three modern plants of which two are located in Poland and one is located in France. State-of-the-art technology, combined with know-how acquired over decades of experience, offer unique possibilities for innovative manufacture of modern and efficient building products.

The Czarnków production site near Poznan covers 370,000 m2, and the site in Czarna Woda near Gdansk, which now has a production area of 840,000 m2, has the potential for future expansion as the total available area covers 5 million square meters.

The production site in Casteljaloux in France (near Bordeaux) covers 340.000 square meters of which 90.000 square meters are currently used for production. Thus, Casteljaloux also offers a huge potential of expansion.

The manufacturing of wood fibre boards has an
established tradition. Today STEICO is Europe’s largest manufacturer of insulation boards made from wood fibres, and the company produces a wide range of quality products on 12 modern productions lines:

• six lines produce wood fibre insulation boards in the traditional wet process,

• one line produces flexible, wood fibre insulation
boards in a patented dry process,

• one additional line produces flexible, hemp fibre
insulation boards in a dry process (as of 2006),

• one line manufactures I-joist construction products,

• three lines produce wood fibre hardboards, which are
partly used to manufacture STEICO I-joist products.
For product finishing STEICO runs a dedicated painting line.

Over the next years the current capacities of both
production sites will be expanded.
