STEICO AG is dedicated to its image of a quality supplier of technical building products. To fully meet this responsibility, STEICO complies with a stringent quality assurance process. Both internal and external audits are carried out at the highest level, and STEICO’s own modern testing laboratory ensures consistent high-quality monitoring process through continuous sampling and testing. Since August 2003, the development and production of wood fibre insulation boards has been certified by the Safety Standards Authority of Southern Germany (TÜV Süddeutschland) in accordance with ISO 9001:2000.

The high quality testing results are confirmed by audits carried out by the German Material Testing Authority of North Rhine-Westphalia (MPA NRW) in Dortmund, which independently inspects and monitors STEICO’s complete range of insulation materials. Since June 2002, STEICO’s wood fibre insulation boards have been certified by the recently established quality mark natureplus® which is the association for future-oriented building (Verein für zukunftsfähiges Bauen e.V.). The entire life cycle of insulation materials is monitored; from the extraction of the raw material all the way to the final dismantling process. All the products qualified to carry the natureplus® mark are tested by the Environmental Institute (ECO Umweltinstitut GmbH) in Cologne.

The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) has certified STEICO as the premier producer of wood fibre insulation boards, and this certification covers STEICO’s complete product spectrum. This certification guarantees quality supervision from forest to final product. All of the wood used for STEICO’s wood fibre insulation boards is sourced from sustainable, cultivated forests. In this way, STEICO demonstrates ecological leadership in its dedication to providing innovative and sustainable building products.
